What Thanksgiving and Fall Brings for the Eagles

Share

As October and Halloween came to a close a few weeks ago, we are now gearing up for Thanksgiving and all the fun festivities it will bring. October brought a lot of pumpkin carving as well as dressing up as favorite movie characters, animals, and scary creatures. Fall is such a nice season for hockey as it is not too cold yet and the leaves are still changing colors, making it even more pleasant to walk to and from the rink everyday.

Thanksgiving is specifically special for our team, because since we are not able to go home like the majority of the campus due to games and practices, we spend the day giving thanks with each other. It brings us even closer each year, sharing everything that we are thankful for and eating ourselves into perpetual food comas together. Many of us are also used to not being able to spend Thanksgiving at home each year in the past due to either travel tournaments or prep school boarders who live away from home, so we have been able to find several fun ways to spend our time together on Turkey day. However, being able to play a game together is the best way to spend the week of Thanksgiving. We are most thankful for the opportunity to place this sport that we love each and everyday.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
