Haley Skarupa on NWHL Experience

Share

Hey Everyone!

This is Haley Skarupa from the Boston College Eagles writing to you guys about this awesome experience some of my teammates and I are having regarding the new women’s pro hockey league: the NWHL (National Women’s Hockey League). It is such an exciting time with this incredible opportunity that we have to be able to continue our hockey careers and play after we graduate college and finish playing at the NCAA level. I was drafted to the New York Riveters alongside two of my BC teammates, Dana Trivigno and Alex Carpenter. It is great to be able to stick with some college teammates, because we know each other so well and have been playing together for such a long time.

I have not been extremely involved with the NWHL for this coming season as I am still in school and will be a senior playing at BC (which I’m also extremely pumped about), but I am really excited to see this league take off and watch it progress throughout the year. I am so happy for those who have signed already and am looking forward to seeing them lead the way for professional women’s hockey. It is so amazing to be involved in this new league and I can’t wait for it to take off!

Thanks for reading everyone, hope you all are having great Summers!

Until next time,

Haley Skarupa
