Chatham Returns Home To Finish 2014-2015 Regular Season

Share

In the past month, our team has had four away weekends throughout the state of New York.  We faced off against Oswego, Elmira, Cortland, and lastly Utica this past weekend.  We struggled to win games in the month of January and managed only one tie against Cortland after a scoreless OT.  In order to be a contender for one of the playoff spots, we will need to sweep the next two weekends against Potsdam and Neumann on home ice.

Despite the rough month we had there are positives, specifically from this past weekend.  First year Kasi Petersen (#25) scored in the second game against Utica, which happened to be our first goal from a defenseman this season.  Also following Kasi’s goal, sophomore Kaitlyn Perrins (#2) scored her first conference goal of her college career then followed it up with a second goal shortly after her first.  Our senior goalie Megan Buchanan still stands with a 92% save percentage as we focus forward to our last two conference weekends.

With two weekends at home, our team is motivated to leave it all on the ice and come out with momentum to finish the season off strong.

Until next time,

Marie #4
