MEET BAILEY!

Tell us about yourself!

My name is Bailey Medved and I am from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I’ve been playing hockey since I was 6 years old, and I have always been a defensemen. I’ve mostly played girls hockey but I did play for my schools middle school hockey team.

What made you want to be a WHL Brand Ambassador?

I wanted to be a WHL Brand Ambassador because I believe in promoting women’s hockey, and I think that this would be a great way to show younger newer hockey players that your dreams are achievable and I want to be there for them if they need advice.

What are you most looking forward to as a #WHLAMBASSADOR?

I am looking forward to connecting more to the women hockey community and meeting and connecting with people around the country/world just like me.

What’s something not a lot of people know about you?

I love hanging out with my family and friends. I’ve been playing softball for as long as I can remember. Math is my favourite subject in school.

If you could sit down and have dinner with one female hockey player, who would it be and why?

I would pick Hilary Knight because she is my idol, and she set’s a perfect example for younger girls that if you work hard your dream comes true.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given in hockey or in life?

Worry about yourself and work to get better and when you are passing everyone else up it’ll all pay off.

What’s your dream for women’s hockey?

My hockey dream is to play in college.
