Toronto – Dec. 20, 2022 – W. Graeme Roustan, Executive Chairman and owner of Roustan Media, Publisher of The Hockey News, today announced the donation of 500, 000 digital one-year subscriptions of The Hockey News to any Canadian resident registered in any hockey program in Canada.
The $15 million retail price of digital subscriptions is meant to grow the game of hockey, encourage reading and showcase Canadian sport journalism. In addition, The Hockey News wants to help out families who are struggling around the holidays by providing the gift of The Hockey News to a loved one.
THN.com/canada is where hockey players from across Canada can register from today through Jan. 31, 2023 – or until all 500,000 digital subscriptions are taken.
USA Hockey players have also received an email from USA Hockey for their holiday gift.
“My mom always told me that when I was a young boy, the only thing that she could get me to read was The Hockey News,” said W. Graeme Roustan. “I remember how much I loved reading each issue cover to cover, taking me to places that I had never heard of before and learning about hockey players from all over the world. It improved my reading skills, made me aware of the world around me and was the catalyst for my hockey business career. I would like The Hockey News to have a similar impact on the young players of today.”
