MEET KAYLEE LEHMKUHL!
Tell us about yourself!
My name is Kaylee Lehmkuhl and I currently live in Ripon, California. I first started playing roller hockey at the age of seven at a local rink. During my time at the local rink, I played against many different age groups and found my passion. Every practice I worked hard, which led me to travel hockey. After a year or two of travel hockey I got into State Wars, where I got to play against different states and countries. This year I am going to Indiana to play State Wars again, and continue my inline hockey season.
What made you want to be a WHL Brand Ambassador?
I wanted to be an WHL Brand Ambassador so that I can encourage other girls to love the sport and to show everyone that hockey is also a girls/women’s sport too.
What are you most looking forward to as a #WHLAMBASSADOR?
I am most looking forward to making new friends that play hockey too and achieving new accomplishments as a #WHLAMBASSADOR.
What’s something not a lot of people know about you?
Something not a lot of people know about me is that I enjoy cooking and baking.
If you could sit down and have dinner with one female hockey player, who would it be and why?
If I could sit down and have dinner with one female hockey player, it would be Kendall Coyne. This is because she showed the NHL players in the fastest skater that women are also capable of skating fast. I would want to ask her what made her want to play hockey and how she would encourage other girls/women to play hockey.
What’s your dream for women’s hockey?
My dream for women’s hockey is for women to be able to go up against men and for hockey to be equal. Another dream I have for women’s hockey is for it to become more popular so that it can encourage girls to believe in themselves and to teach them to not give up on their dreams.
