MEET Hannah Whittle!
Tell us about yourself!
I’m from England. I play roller hockey for over 4 different teams across the UK (mixed and women’s). I’ve been playing roller hockey for over ten years and have been passionate about the sport since.
What made you want to be a WHL Brand Ambassador?
I want to bring more recognition to the sport and bring more females into the game which would bring loads more hockey opportunities.
What are you most looking forward to as a #WHLAMBASSADOR?
I’m looking forward to speak to other ambassadors about their hockey experience and hopefully make some lifelong hockey buddies. I’m also looking forward to working as a team to bring more women into the sport, working with the girls will bring my confidence up along with a lot more peoples confidence!
What’s something not a lot of people know about you?
I’m the smallest on basically all of my teams! (5”1)
If you could sit down and have dinner with one female hockey player, who would it be and why?
100% Hilary Knight. She’s so passionate about her sport and I think she’d give some amazing coaching points.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given in hockey or in life?
Always keep your head up, no matter the score, keep your mind positive
What’s your dream for women’s hockey?
I dream that women’s hockey will get the same recognition as men’s hockey. I would love an nhl women’s.
