MEET KAYLEENA!

Tell us about yourself!

I am from Maple Ridge Bc. I am a student at Blue Mountain Elementary. I started skating lessons when I was 3 and started playing hockey when I entered Kindergarten. I went from being the player that spent most of my time doing snow angels and dancing during practices to one of the best players on the team.

I have now also taken an interest in being a goalie and I have been excelling as a goalie as well.

What made you want to be a WHL Brand Ambassador?

I love hockey and I love my mom taking pictures and videos of me.

What are you most looking forward to as a #WHLAMBASSADOR?

New experiences and opportunities.

What’s something not a lot of people know about you?

I help coach a toddler class in BJJ at my martial art school and I am learning to speak German.

If you could sit down and have dinner with one hockey player, who would it be and why?

Any of the players on the Toronto team because it is my favourite team.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given in hockey or in life?

Don’t be afraid to be more aggressive and to watch the puck, don’t always assume where it is going to go.

What’s your dream for women’s hockey?

For me to be a professional hockey player.
