Summers Spent in the Hamptons

I cannot believe it is already July. I feel like summer is flying by, which I don’t mind because I am beyond excited to get back to Saint Mikes for the fall semester. I am currently working out in the Hamptons and living alone. It is a pretty weird feeling knowing I am the only one in this house….but fun because I am nannying 7 days a week so I am always busy. I am also working in a law office doing closing packages during some days to fill in some more time. My cousin is a paralegal at the office so it is a lot of fun to be able to work with him and I am learning a lot.

On top of all this, I have been working out to get ready for hockey! I have been lucky enough to use my Uncle’s gym in his basement and the beach to run every day. I aim for 2 miles every day in the sand which is such a relaxing fun run and I lift in his basement which is awesome. I just applied for my first credit card which scares me and possibly is the most dangerous thing I could have done with the way I like to shop ha-ha!

Today, we took the boys I nanny for during the week to the batting cages and to play mini golf which was a lot of fun. The boys are ages 4 and 7 and the 7 year old told me the other night that he had a crush on me which was pretty funny because he always talks about all the girls at his camp…he is already boy crazy at 7!! On Saturdays I watch a little 7 month old baby boy who is possibly the happiest baby I have ever met! And on Sundays I watch a 2 year old boy. In between the office and getting the kids off the bus from camp, I have been trying to go to the ocean down the street for two hours to read a little bit and go for my runs. I have knocked off two books in two weeks and already 150 pages into the third. I have been reading Elin Hilderbrand’s books which are such great summer reads. They are all set on Nantucket for the most part and they read quickly.

I ordered a bunch of pictures for my room next semester and I started to make my list of what I need for next year…a new Brita for water, new sheets, etc. I am getting so excited for fall semester and for hockey to pick up again!

I hope your all having a great summer so far and working out hard!
