Northeastern University Prepares for Skating Strides Game

This is my first blog entry but I’m not going to go into much detail about myself.  I am from Stratford, Ontario (home town of Justin Bieber)  and I’m a sophomore playing at Northeastern. I’m a business major and my concentration is accounting.

This past weekend we played Providence at ‘The Bog’ in Kingston Mass.  We play there to promote women’s and girl’s ice hockey. The game sold out once again with about fifteen hundred fans in attendance.  It’s always fun to play in front of a crowd and we ended up winning 2-1 against the Friars.

Me and my fellow Husky pups are looking forward to a very exciting weekend.  After a 1-1 tie against Boston College on Tuesday we are looking for two bigs wins this weekend.   Saturday is our skating strides game against UNH which is going to be aired on ESPN3.  It will be the first women’s collegiate hockey game to be aired on the ESPN networks.  All proceeds of this game will be going towards breast cancer research.  We will also be wearing new breast cancer jerseys for the game.  The jerseys are going to be auctioned  off during the game and people can also bid online.

Ta ta for now
