It’s a new season and I am taking over the blog for Ashley Motherwell. I would like to introduce myself, my name is Meagan Mangene. I am a senior from Rocky Point, New York, I am the Co-Captain and a defensemen. We are a month into the season and off to a great start.

For the first blog entry I would like to introduce our freshman, the class of 2017. They all fit in with the team perfectly and are a great group of kids.

#7 Kristyn Capizzano

“Cappy” joins sophomore Taylor Blake as another Canadian addition to the team. She comes from Oakville, Ontario and does a great singing and dancing impression of Taylor Swift.

#10 Steph Lemieux

Steph joins us as the tallest on the team, standing at about 6 feet. She hails from Sewickley, Pennsylvania and is a forward just like her father, NHL hall of famer Mario Lemieux. Steph is a huge Pittsburgh Penguins fan.

#11 Lauren Wedell

Lauren is a defensemen from Arden Hills, Minnesota. She loves nature and hanging out on the lake. You will find her buried  in her books and occupied with her studying.

#13 Haley McLean

“Big Mac” is just under 5 feet tall making her the smallest on the team but that doesn’t stop her on the ice. She is a forward from Howell, Michigan and loves going to the lake. When she is home she spends most of her time with her dog, linc.

#18 Julie Fish

Julie is a country girl from Nashville, Tennessee. She is a defenseman that loves country music and going to concerts. When she is not playing hockey she is traveling or shopping. She likes anything sparkly and shiny.

#23 Andie Anastos

Andie is another freshman forward from Michigan. Her and Haley Mclean played together on Honey Baked and they do an extraordinary karaoke duet. She loves batman and is very good at basketball as well.

Until next time,

Meagan
