The first week of school has been filled with lots of fun activities and team bonding experiences for the Lady Eagles. There have been football games, apple picking field trips, and even our first exhibition game to get the season kicked off. The team was able to watch and cheer on the football team as they defeated USC a few weeks ago. The upset was extremely exciting and storming the field was a great experience had by all. A couple weeks later, the women’s hockey team earned their own win over Queens College, beating them 10-1 in a scrimmage last Friday. Freshman Tori Sullivan led the eagles, casually recording her first hat trick during her first college hockey game as an eagle—go Tori! It was a great team effort and a fun game to start the season. A couple days later, the team went on a field trip to an apple orchard where they picked bags and bags of yummy, delicious apples. The big hits were the Golden Yellow, Red Delicious, and McIntosh Apples. There were also pears shaped as apples, which was definitely a highlight of the trip, along with the homemade caramel apples of course.
The Women’s Ice Hockey team officially kicks off their regular season this Saturday, October 4th at 2pm vs. Syracuse in Conte Forum. Stop by the Heights to catch the Lady Eags in action!
