Hello again hockey fans, Sydney Rossman here checking in and updating you on all things Quinnipiac. I ended the last post just before our roadie up to Maine where the Bobcats came out with two big wins. After that weekend, the Bobcats had two teammates named to the weekly ECAC awards; T.T. Cianfarano was named Player of the Week and Sydney Rossman was name Goalie of Week. I’m not trying to talk about myself, but I didn’t really know how else to put it so back off.
Last weekend, we played an exhibition game against Western and came to a 1-1 tie. The Bobcats were definitely not satisfied without the win, but that just meant it was time to get back to work before our non-conference game against Yale.
This Saturday, we play Yale at home, one of three times this season. It’s always fun to play our neighbors more than once in our own barn. The Quinnipiac fans will be hosting a tailgate at the TD Bank Sports parking lot prior to the game and all are invited! Make sure you bring your bag toss “A” game and a nice cold pasta salad to share.
Next weekend the Bobcats open up their conference play with two away games at Brown and Yale, the battle of Whitney Ave. This will be the first taste of our conference, where every team brings their best game. Following that weekend, we take on Colgate and Cornell at home.
That’s all for now, time to get back to Accounting class where my professor currently thinks I am taking some really intense notes! Which of course I am….student before athlete remember?
