Montreal Stars Acquire Forward Jordanna Peroff from Toronto Furies

(Montreal, Quebec) September 11, 2015 – The Montreal Stars have acquired forward Jordanna Peroff from the Toronto Furies, General Manager Meg Hewings announced today.

Peroff, 26, was drafted by the Furies in 2012 and was a part of the team’s 2014 Clarkson Cup championship squad.

Prior to her time in Toronto, Peroff enjoyed a five-year career with the McGill Martlets, appearing in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) National Tournament each season and capturing three gold medals, one silver and one bronze. In 2011, she earned MVP honours as the Martlets won their third national title in a span of five years.

The Keswick, Ont., native will reunite with several of her McGill teammates in Montreal, including goaltender Charline Labonté, defenceman and Stars captain Cathy Chartrand, and forwards Ann-Sophie Bettez and Leslie Oles. Oles was the Stars’ fourth round pick in the recent CWHL Draft.
