Meet Reagan!
Tell us about yourself!
My name is Reagan, and I’m a 2010 who lives in Iowa. I’m in 4th grade. I started playing hockey when I was four living in Utah. I currently play on an all girls hockey team as a goalie and a boys team as a skater.
What made you want to be a WHL Brand Ambassador?
I wanted to be a brand ambassador because I want to share my love of hockey with girls across the world. Hockey has given me so much confidence, determination, and joy that I want other girls to experience. Hockey is for all girls, and I want to show girls that they can be just like me.
What are you most looking forward to as a #WHLAMBASSADOR?
I look forward to sharing my love of the game with everyone in order to help grow women’s hockey for my generation and generations to come.
What’s something not a lot of people know about you?
I’m just a goofy girl that loves to try new things and be a little crazy sometimes. You have to be to be a goalie, right?!
If you could sit down and have dinner with one female hockey player, who would it be and why?
I would love to sit down and have dinner with Maddie Rooney. I want to learn how she maintained her composure so well during the gold medal game. Keeping your composure as a goalie is one of the toughest parts of the game, and Maddie is incredible.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given in hockey or in life?
The best advice I have ever been given is to never stop trying and pushing to be better. Adversity is something you’ll face throughout your life in every aspect, and hockey teaches those skills to overcome that.
What’s your dream for women’s hockey?
My dream for women’s hockey is to see the sport grow and one day be selling out stadiums like the NHL. Women’s hockey is so fast paced and incredible to watch, and I want everyone to experience that. Girls need to know that they can do it too! Look like a beauty, play like a beast.
