MEET JAYDEN ELIAS!

Tell us about yourself!

I am about to turn 12 and was born in South Florida and now call New Jersey home.  I enjoy spending time with my friends and my family, but most of all I love playing hockey.  I started playing when I was just four and convinced my parents to let me try goalie at age seven.  I have not left the net since!

What made you want to be a WHL Brand Ambassador?

I wanted to be a WHL Brand Ambassador so I can be a part of a great community and help grow the game for girls/women.

What are you most looking forward to as a #WHLAMBASSADOR?

I am excited to meet new people and get the word out about the amazing things that Women’s Hockey Life does for women’s hockey.

What’s something not a lot of people know about you?

Back in 2017, I started my own charity “De-Crease Cancer” to help those afflicted by Pediatric Cancer or Breast Cancer.  I am also a member of a steel drum band.

If you could sit down and have dinner with one female hockey player, who would it be and why?

It would have to be one of the two goalies that I proudly wear on the side of my goalie mask, Kelsey Neumann or Maddie Rooney. I look up to both of these goalies!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given in hockey or in life?

The best advice I have ever been given is to play hard, have fun and never quit!

What’s your dream for women’s hockey?

My dream for women’s hockey is for it to grow and to become just as popular as men’s hockey.
