Tell us about yourself!
My name is Chloe Castell. I am 9 years old. I am from Massena, NY. My dad took me on the ice when I was two and I have been hooked since. I have played all the positions in hockey but goalie was my favorite. I have been a full time goalie for two years now. I love to talk about hockey, watch hockey, and most important play hockey. I currently play for a team in Cornwall, ON.
What made you want to be a WHL Brand Ambassador?
I love hockey so much. I am so happy I can play with and against really strong ALL girls teams. I want more girls to learn to play and love hockey like me.
What are you most looking forward to as a #WHLAMBASSADOR?
- I look forward to meeting more girls who love hockey like me and telling people all about hockey and my hockey story. I want more girls to play!
What’s something not a lot of people know about you?
- I love to collect all types hockey cards even really old ones.
If you could sit down and have dinner with one hockey player, who would it be and why?
- Aerin Frankel obviously. She is a small and mighty goalie. I am also small and mighty and she makes me believe I can play professionally and make it as far as her in hockey.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given in hockey or in life?
- My mom always says “only you can decide what breaks you”. As a goalie this mindset is very important.
What’s your dream for women’s hockey?
- I want women’s hockey to be as big and popular as NHL. I want girls to get paid as much as the boys do someday too!
