From April 2nd-5th, the Red Ball Internet Centre arena located in Moncton, New Brunswick, will be the host of the 2015 Female Midget AAA Atlantic Championship. The provincial champions from Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island as well as the host team, the Moncton Rockets, will all gather to what will be one of the most exciting weekends in female competitive hockey. Thischampionship weekend will crown the winning team of Atlantic Canada and earn them a trip to the 2015 Esso Cup to be held this year in Red Deer, Alberta.
?The Moncton Rockets are currently the defending Atlantic Champions of 2014. They have represented Atlantic Canada in their category at the 2010 and 2014 Esso Cup. They are looking once more to earn their spot at this national competition. They have also been at the Atlantic championships the past five years as provincial champions.
?As the 2015 Atlantics fast approaches, the doors to the RBIC will be open to the public for a weekend filled with events and fast-pace hockey. The Rockets, founded in 2008, once again face high expectations. They hold a 15-1-2 season record, have a total of 163 goals, 201 assists for a total of 364 points in 48 games played. During their regular season, in 18 games they earned 91 goals for versus 25 goals against.
