Wisconsin enters as the favorite, boasting a stellar 36-1-2 regular-season record. The Badgers feature all three finalists for the Patty Kazmaier Award, including top scorer Casey O’Brien (85 points), goal-scoring forward Laila Edwards (31 goals), and defender Caroline Harvey, who led the nation’s defenders with 58 points. Goaltender Ava McNaughton has been stellar, earning a spot on Team USA’s Women’s Worlds roster.
Ohio State, the defending national champions, are looking for a third consecutive title. The Buckeyes posted a 28-7-3 record this season, led by forward Joy Dunne (58 points) and Canadian Jocelyn Amos (27 goals). Ohio State is aiming for their fifth consecutive Frozen Four appearance.
Minnesota, also a top contender, has the added boost of hosting the tournament. Senior forward Abbey Murphy, who led the nation with 33 goals, and rookie Chloe Primerano, who’s been on fire recently, will lead the Gophers in their quest for a national title.
Cornell, making its first Frozen Four appearance since 2019, relies heavily on goaltender Annelies Bergmann, who recorded 10 shutouts this season. She’s been a key player in Cornell’s strong run, including a 28-save performance in the regional final to send them through.
The Frozen Four promises intense competition, with Wisconsin and Ohio State both having recent championships under their belts. Watch the action unfold and don’t miss the championship game on Sunday at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT on TSN+.
